Police claimed the man attacked another person with a sharp weapon and attempted to enter the person’s home after the victim dodged him.
Zia Malik, 20, has been charged with assault with a weapon; possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; and staying unlawfully in a dwelling.
He was held in police custody pending a bail hearing in a Cornwall court.

Police claimed the teenager damaged the interior wall of an apartment building on October 23. Police also claimed the teenager molested someone he knows and violated conditions imposed in a previous release order.
The teenager, whose identity cannot be revealed under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with mischief under $5,000 and violating a release order.
