Azets accelerates North East growth plans
Azets, the UK’s top 10 accounting firm, announces ambitious growth plans in the North East. As part of its growth strategy to increase sales by 50 percent over the next five years, Azets plans to create 150 new jobs in the region.
With over 320 business consultants in the North East, Azets provides specialist accounting and business advisory services to growing and ambitious SMEs, with these services being delivered by local staff from local offices.
With 12 offices across the region in Stockton-on-Tees, Morpeth, Alnwick, Crook, Durham, Guisborough, Hexham, Carlisle, Seaton Burn, Sunderland, Wynyard and Newcastle, we ensure businesses and individuals receive proactive advice from people who Know their way around and care about their surroundings.
The company invests heavily in the next generation of talent to deliver the specialized services that ambitious SMEs need now and in the future. This included hiring 25 graduates, school leavers and apprentices across the Northeast in 2022, with an even larger number to be hired in 2023.
In addition to a growing workforce, Azets also wants to expand the services available to customers. The company has expanded to offer a wealth management service, providing clients with independent advice on their financial goals, with services including investment and pension advice for individuals and employers.
Working with tax colleagues across the region, the Wealth Management team develops long-term strategies to build wealth and plan for retirement in a tax-efficient manner.
The combined approach to tax and financial planning helps maximize and protect wealth. The team recently appointed Jonathan Loughran as a Chartered Financial Planner, based in Teesside and County Durham, expanding local delivery of these services.
