Man Utd star Harry Maguire looks unrecognisable as fresh-faced teenager in incredible childhood throwback snap

HARRY MAGUIRE is one of the most famous footballers in Europe.
As Manchester United captain and England star, it’s hard not to overlook the big ol’ 6ft 4in ‘Slabhead’.

But one incredible childhood photo shows Maguire, now 29, looking very different in his school uniform.
He still has that famous broad chin and dark hair as he sits behind his younger brother Laurence in their blue shirts and navy and white striped ties.
Older sibling Joe is seen in a blazer in an outreach.
Another amazing snap from a few years later shows the three brothers – who are all footballers – sitting in the garden, believed to be at their home in Sheffield.
Smiling Harry, whose real name is Jacob, is wearing his beige coat that matches Joe and is holding up her younger sister Daisy.
The Red Devils and Three Lions star, who also excelled in table tennis, rugby and cross country, was a “remarkable” student at St Mary’s Catholic School in Chesterfield and passed his GCSE exams.
Former assistant principal Sue Cain said: “He was never in trouble, he had such a good attitude.
“I taught all three Maguire brothers, they all absolutely loved their sport.

“Harry was such a humble boy.
“He already had his head screwed on at that age. He did everything you asked him to do and he never questioned why. He was popular and he was huge.
“From a young age he was very tall and towered over teams.
“He got A* and A grades in his GCSEs. He was very capable academically.”
Maguire broke through on the football stage with Sheffield United and then had three years at Hull before joining Leicester in 2017.
While at the Foxes, he was called up to the England senior team, played at the 2018 World Cup and joined United a year later for a world record £85million.
However, he has struggled to find his best form at Old Trafford.
And his club future may lie away from the theater of dreams.

Maguire has made just four Premier League starts under Erik ten Hag so far this season, playing 801 minutes in total.
The centre-back has been linked with transfers to West Ham and Inter Milan as he seeks to return to regular football and keep his place in England.
