Guizio Gibson pleated skirt

I had been trying to find the vintage version of this skirt for about six months when Danielle Guizio released this one. I’m trying to make a no buy for the month of January but I had to take it “for an event” and I’m so glad I did. A plaid pleated skirt is my go-to safety blanket, and this longer version is perfect for winter. It feels extremely flowy and well made, and I love that it has a low rise for a true ’90s vibe. I’ve only worn it once so far, but I don’t regret my lack of self-control one bit.

I’m always looking for clothes that will keep me warm and still make me feel sexy and this fits perfectly. The slightly transparent Tencel knit is so soft and cozy, and it looks and feels much more expensive than it is. The drape creates an amazing silhouette and I love that you can wear it a variety of ways: asymmetric, cowl neck, or off the shoulder. I’ve been wearing this top nonstop — with a black bra and skirt at night, or jeans and a cami at work — since it arrived in December, and it’s costing me everything not to pick it up in every color.

I’m trying my best to be a workout girl this year and this top has really helped tremendously. It blows every sports bra I’ve ever worn out of the water – it keeps my larger chest completely still during my elliptical session without feeling tight or uncomfortable, which is a total game changer. The square neck. The compression fit and cropped length create a top so cute I’ll be wearing it outside of the gym next summer.

Jeans may be my least favorite piece of clothing because they can feel so constricting and tight, but there’s just something about these Agolde jeans is working. Although they are a different style than my usual high waist and extra long inseam, they have a more relaxed fit that I enjoy. I also really like the details on these jeans like the buttoned fly and the slightly distressed hemline.

La Coochie high-rise boxers

I’ve tried boxer shorts designed for women but they always seemed awkward and had a bulky seam that was very visible when wearing pants. These boxers from La Coochie are truly amazing and changed my mind about this type of underwear. They’re roomy, soft, and while they have slip-like seams, they never seem to show no matter what I’m wearing. I also love that they are high waisted – they sit at my natural waist which makes it feel like I’m wearing nothing at all. The material is 95% cotton, which I think works best for my pH level.

Thirty Years of Puffer Vest

Whenever the weather hovers between super cold and balmy, I’m eager to swap my thick puffer coats for something that won’t sweat my back on my commute. This down vest is that option for me, and it makes a statement all of its own. I’ve styled it in so many ways, but lately I’ve been happily layering it over a sweatshirt to serve as another layer of protection from the temperatures during my walks with hot girls.

I wear any matching set that feels like pajamas, including this sparkly flared set from Sleeper. The lurex fabric is scratch-free and the ruffled flares give it some serious disco vibes. I will never feel uncomfortable at a party again.

Garage Perfect Liquid Puffer Jacket

Every winter I use all my strength to avoid wearing a puffer jacket. They’re bulky, usually not very cute, and just the opposite of the vibe I’m trying to cultivate. But lately there have been a few days in New York where I’ve had to indulge in layering and this down jacket from Garage was a godsend. It’s comfortable, a perfect neutrality and has my softness yet being too hard.
