Shows Releasing in 2023 We’re Most Excited For

It’s 2023, which means there’s a ton of new content to watch out for in terms of new and returning TV shows. Whether it’s streaming or broadcast, we’ve compiled a list of just a few shows releasing this year that we’re most looking forward to!

Superman & Lois season 3

Season 3 of Superman & Lois begins a week after Ally Allston’s defeat. Clark and Lois work together at the Smallville Gazette and enjoy small town life. However, Lois’ work-life balance is tested when an undercover operation uncovers a mortal enemy who promises to change the Kent family forever.

Meanwhile, the Kent boys are pulled in opposite directions as Jordan discovers what a superhero identity really means and Jonathan searches for purpose beyond the football field. John Henry is haunted by his doppelganger’s past, leading to dangerous consequences for him and Natalie. Lana and Kyle redefine their family after the breakup, while Sarah explores her and Jordan’s future now that she knows of his powers. General Lane has also reclaimed his post at the Department of Defense only to face his own conflict of working with his grandson Jordan.

release date: The season premiere, “Closer,” airs Tuesday, March 14 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Daisy Jones and the Six

The long-awaited adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novel, daisy jones & the six, will premiere on Prime Video this spring. The book follows Daisy and rock band The Six at the height of rock in the ’60s and ’70s. Daisy spends most of her time sneaking into clubs and dreaming of singing on stage. While making her name in the music industry, she eventually joins The Six, thus forming Daisy Jones & The Six. The band isn’t quite prepared for how famous they’ll become as they tell the story of why they eventually broke up.

dead city & The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon

Two of the latest spin-offs from the Walking Dead universe are added Fear the walking death are dead city and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. In dead cityMaggie and Negan find themselves in New York, where they must put their differences aside to team up with native New Yorkers to evade a marshal with a troubled past and hunt down a notorious killer.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon sees Daryl wash up ashore in France and struggles to figure out how and why he got there. The connections he makes as he searches for a way home complicates things more than planned.

I have never season 4

This year we say goodbye to Devi Vishwakumar and her friends in the fourth and final season I have never getting closer. The series first debuted in 2020 and introduced viewers to Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), her best friends Fabiola (Lee Rodriguez) and Eleanor (Ramona Young), her enemy Ben (Jaren Lewison) and her crush friend Paxton (Darren Barnet). . In Season 1, Devi returned to school after the sudden death of her father. She also went looking for a boyfriend and set her sights on Paxton (who didn’t reply for a hot second). Over the seasons, viewers have seen Devi struggle with her grief, a fragile relationship with her mother, Nalini (Poorna Jagannathan), and many ups and downs in the romance department.

As Season 3 drew to a close, she jumped ahead in time to end as Devi prepares to head into her senior year of high school. After receiving an offer from a prestigious school, she decides against it and instead spends more time with her mother (and no, we definitely weren’t crying…). She and Paxton had also broken up months earlier, and the season ends with Devi redeeming her One Free Boink coupon from Ben – will Bevi finally bear fruit?

Storyline details for Season 4 are still under wraps, but it will take place during Devi’s senior year of high school. It will also introduce a new character played by Love, Victoris Michael Cimino.

Release date: The final season has yet to have a release date set, but following the trend of the first three, it could premiere on Netflix sometime in late spring/early summer.

manifest Season 4 part 2

After the lifeboat is saved by Netflix, the first part of manifestThe fourth and final season of premiered last year and continues the mysteries of Flight 828 and brings even more questions and answers about what happened on that fateful night in 2013. Part 1 ended on a big cliffhanger as Zeke succumbed to Cal’s cancer after absorbing it with his abilities and the apocalypse began, no thanks to Angelina. Instead of just the 192 passengers that Ben, Michaela and the others had to take care of, it was now the whole world.

With just 10 episodes left, fans are sure to have the ride of their lives and hopefully finally get the true 828 answers they’ve been searching for. All the while trying to stop the inevitable Date of Death from taking power.

Release date: There’s no news on when Part 2 will premiere, but creator and showrunner Jeff Rake has previously mentioned that it will be coming to Netflix sometime in Spring 2023.

Riverdale season 7

After dealing with Black Hood, Gargoyle King, the Stonies, Percival Pickens and others, RiverdaleThe seventh and final season will see the gang set in the 1950s after Comet Cheryl was blown up with their combined superpowers in the season six finale. Jughead is the only one who remembers life before the comet, and he’s trying to return to the present. Even after everything they’ve been through, nothing could have prepared them for it.

Release date: Wednesday, March 29 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW. The series finale is on Wednesday, August 23.

Gen V

From the beginning, The young made numbers at Prime Video; What’s more, her audience has continued to grow season after season. Following the success of the flagship show, the streamer announced they would be releasing a spin-off, Gen V (see trailer here). Should occur at the same time The young season 4, Gen V will follow a group of heroes at Godolkin University, America’s only supe-only college (run by the only Vought International, of course), where their limits will be tested in every way.

It will be interesting to see where this show’s plot goes given all the different elements from the comics that are at play here; some were sporadically integrated throughout The young. With the introduction of Payback last season and The Seven obviously a focal point in the main show, will there be some kind of G-Men (the third major supe team in the comics) here? Clues are beginning to point to a yes, though it’s still a mystery in what fashion that will arrive. Gen V supposedly based on the We have to go now Arcs in the comics where the G-Men are the main antagonistic forces. John Godolkin (who is believed to be the founder of Godolkin University on the show) is the founder/leader of this sinister group. The only other material information we really have about Godolkin University comes from one of the seven on the 7th Episodes where we learn that the Annual Hero Draft is based outside of college (read more here).

Whether the G-Men show up or not, Gen V evolves into an interesting, gory, insane watch – and as a spin-off of The youngwe wouldn’t expect anything else.

Release date: Since no concrete release date has been announced at this point (although The young‘ The Twitter account posted some Hints that it could be sometime in July), Gen V is set to premiere sometime in 2023.

successor season 4

Get ready for World War Roy. After three harrowing seasons of insidiousness and insidiousness galore, the Roy siblings (sans Connor doing… whatever Connor does) have finally pulled their heads out of the mud and teamed up to bring Logan down. However, Tom has finally come to terms with his and Shiv’s contentious marriage (all the aforementioned arguments come from her side) and settled with Logan, dragging Greg to the other side with him. Tom’s betrayal came as quite a surprise given his loyal, steadfast nature, but in a move that helped Logan reassert control of his children, he could be the next rumored crown prince of the Roy dynasty. Season 4 is really shaping up to be one Captain America: Civil War-like plot and we can’t wait to see the consequences.

Release date: successor Season 4 will be released on March 26, 2023.
