CPD1 hour

target

An interactive case-by-case discussion focusing on occlusal design.
learning goals
  • Recognize when to adapt to the existing occlusion scheme and when to reorganize
  • Discuss the pros and cons of the reorganized approach
  • Remember the ideal characteristics of the reorganized occlusion
learning contentMost of our day-to-day restorative dentistry uses a conformational approach to occlusion. In most cases, this is in the best interest of the patient. However, there are instances and scenarios where we must choose to reorganize occlusion to ensure long-term success and predictability. The learners are presented with several real world scenarios and decide to reorganize or adjust the occlusion.
