Nicola Bulley: Parents of missing mum say her life ‘feels so empty’ since disappearance

Police are appealing for a potential second witness to come forward as the search for missing dog walker Nicola Bulley continues.

The 45-year-old disappeared last Friday – with her mobile phone, which was found on a bench near where she was last seen walking a towpath by the River Wyre at St Michael’s in Wyre, Lancashire.

Police say there is nothing to suggest any third party involvement in Ms Bulley’s disappearance at this time.

Lancashire Constabulary is now pushing for a woman who was captured on CCTV and who they believe was in the area at the time Ms Bulley was last seen.

“We would like to emphasize that the woman is wanted as a witness and nothing more,” police said.

She is wearing a red and white coat with a fur hood, light trousers and a light bobble hat. She also walked a small white dog.

The woman was seen on CCTV in Allotment Lane around 8.48am, near where Ms Bulley was last seen.

“There are two small children waiting for their mom”

The two young children of Nicola Bulley, who went missing in Lancashire on Friday, believe it is “only a matter of time” before she gets home, their grandfather has said.

Speak with Sky newsMs Bulley’s father Ernie said: “The main thing is that we want to find Nicola, bring her home.

“There’s two little kids waiting for their mum to come back and obviously we want them back too but if Nicola’s out there looking at this all we want to say is come home, contact the police, contact us and we just want you back.

“And they know mom is missing, but they know she’ll be coming home and everyone’s looking for her, so it’s only a matter of time before they think about her going through that door. “

Louise Cunningham, Ms Bulley’s sister, added: “Their little minds are trying to process, they don’t really get it, none of us get it to be honest. But when there are kids involved you just have to keep going, you have to get through every day and that’s all we try to do.”
