Liverpool join race for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie?

Liverpool are reportedly joining Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur on a loan deal for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie in the January transfer window.
Liverpool have reportedly joined the ever-growing list of clubs in the running juventus midfield player Weston McKennie.
The USA international has failed to cement his place as a weekly starter for Massimiliano Allegri and is being urged to leave Turin in the coming months.
A positive World Cup campaign has helped generate interest in McKennie’s services, with the Schalke ex-man starting all four of USA’s games in their run to the last 16.
McKennie remains under contract at the Turin stadium for two and a half years but is believed to have admirers in the Premier League in the form of Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea They are also rumored to be monitoring the situation while Manchester United allegedly tried and failed to sign McKennie in a barter deal Donny van de Beek.
According to the Daily MailLiverpool have also been interested in the 24-year-old but would only be willing to loan him out rather than sign him permanently.
The Reds appear to have identified a new midfielder as a priority for 2023 and the report suggests so Jürgen Klopp would temporarily welcome McKennie in January.
Liverpool and Juventus have agreed on a loan deal for Arthur on summer transfer deadline day, but the Brazilian had only made one senior appearance for the Reds before suffering a serious hamstring injury.
Arthur is currently recovering from surgery and there have been suggestions Liverpool – who have the option of making the deal permanent – could let the 26-year-old go in January.
However, Arthur’s agent has now ruled out early termination tuttomercatoweb: “He will remain 100 per cent at Liverpool in January. This is an aspect that was never discussed. A possible return to Turin is absolutely not the case.”

McKennie was loaned to Juventus for the 2020/21 season before leaving for a fee of €20.5m last summer.
This season, McKennie has scored three goals and one assist in 16 games, and he has won the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana while in Turin.
Liverpool are unlikely to spend big bucks on a new midfielder in January before joining Borussia Dortmund in the summer Jude Bellinghamwhich could cost more than £100m.
A separate report claimed that the Merseyside giants were increasingly confident of winning the race to sign Bellingham, who is also wanted by Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
Benfica and Argentina starlet Enzo Fernandez Liverpool are also believed to be on the radar who he could wave goodbye to James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on free transfers next year.
