The special: Owner/innkeeper Debra Alms and her partner Richard P. Beavers, owner of the RBCI construction company in Easton, took a neglected waterfront bed and breakfast and completely restored it. But the historic mid-1840s shipbuilder’s house still retains a Victorian feel thanks to its antiques, rugs, chandeliers and artifacts. Artwork on the theme of boats and water pays homage to Edward Willey, who originally built the house next to his shipyard. Private bathrooms in the six guest suites have marble floors, jetted tubs, and showers, and one even has a large copper tub. Outdoors, guests can sip wine while sitting by the fire pit and enjoying views of the water and native wildlife – green herons, mallards, ospreys, and bald eagles. Breakfast is an East Coast homage created by Executive Chef Patrick Mahoney.
