Update to the Seldén SailJuice Winter Series
That’s how things stand overall and in the subcategories after six events, most recently the GJW Direct Bloody Mary winning teenagers James Crossley and Noah Fitzgerald in their 29er skiff. On a day when a simple touring boat like the Laser just shouldn’t be able to compete against the trapeze boats, Ben Flower sailed an incredible Bloody Mary and finished 7th. His success has affected the overall standings…
In total
After six events and all 17 possible races, 260 teams have achieved an overall ranking and still have time to qualify for the four events. Datchet Flyer winner Ben Flower (Laser (ILCA 7) – Paignton SC) moves up three spots to first place, classmate Jamie Blake (Great Moor SC) moves up four to second and RS Aero 6- Sailor Sam Mettam (Papercourt SC ) by five for third place.
Top-class trade insurance
A total of 62 different classes have received Craftinsure Top Class Rankings. RS800’s were top class at GJW Direct Bloody Mary and one of the largest fleets at 11 competitors with the class also conducting a day of practice at Queen Mary SC on Sunday. Second were the 29ers and third, Lasers (ILCA 7s), still leading the Craftinsure Top Class standings after 17 races, followed by the RS200s in second and Laser Radial (ILCA 6s) in third. Based on the top three results for each class at each race.
top club
Sailors from 88 different clubs have now entered, with HISC top club Bloody Mary, host QMSC and former winner Lymington Town in third place. Overall, Staunton Harold SC holds the top spot, Great Moor SC moves up to second place and Draycote Water SC falls to third place. Based on the top three results for each club at each race.
