MORRISTOWN, NJ, Feb. 2, 2023 / — KMK Consulting Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Stevenson as Principal of Strategy in Europe. Chris has over 15 years of industry experience and will be a valuable addition to the team, providing strategic services and thought-provoking clients and growing KMK’s global footprint. This appointment is consistent with KMK’s goals to continue enhancing its offering by providing leading strategic services and thinking to clients.

Chris’ appointment is one of three new appointments in the EU, which will provide KMK customers with local expertise in the EU and expand the overall capacity of all KMK businesses to deliver for customers regardless of their location. Samantha Fernando, Managing Director, also joined KMK earlier this month and has come on board to build and lead KMK’s UK market research team and to drive business development with pharma clients in Europe and beyond. Stephen Deitch, Head of Global Market Access, will formally join the KMK team next month and oversee the development of the Pricing and Market Access teams. Given KMK’s existing RWE and HEOR business, Stephen will be able to translate the strategic implications of this business to his customers globally in the EU, US and Asia.

Over the past fifteen years, Chris has been instrumental in providing commercial strategy services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies facing challenges throughout the product lifecycle. Chris has spent most of his career in leading strategy companies, focused on delivering complex and disruptive solutions to clients worldwide. Prior to his career in commercial strategy consulting, Chris spent seven years at Thomson Corporation, one of the world’s largest information companies, as a member of the Healthcare M&A team, where he led distressed healthcare companies across the US and led them to improved performance. He also founded Gardiner Caldwell’s (now Ashfield) US business in the United States and led to rapid growth of the company to over eight figures in less than two years. Chris has advised several professional service firms on growth strategies, organizational change and culture development.

Chris’ strategic service experience covers the commercial landscape from market valuation to excellent go-to-market to loss of exclusivity. He has worked across all major therapeutic areas and dealt with some of the most complex healthcare markets. He prides himself on his track record of tackling challenging issues, providing clear communication, collaborating and ensuring the strategic solutions are implemented. “Execution is strategy,” says Chris, citing Harvard Business School’s Michael Porter, “and we want to ensure that what we do at KMK can be implemented to create meaningful change for our clients.”
