game preview

Wealdstone has been in decent form this season Stuart Maynard and will try to catapult themselves into the playoff positions with a win over Oldham.

The Stones are ranked ninth in National League standings after accumulating an impressive 37 points from 25 games in the 2022-23 season.

Wealdstone were due to be in action against Chesterfield last Tuesday, although the game was abandoned due to a sodden pitch.

All focus will now turn to the Oldham challenge which could offer Wealdstone an opportunity to move up to sixth in the league depending on results elsewhere.

On the other hand, Oldham have endured a poor season in the National League and are languishing one place above the relegation zone on 24 points.

David Unsworth has struggled to reignite his luck throughout the course but is undefeated in his last two games while in charge of the Latics as they eye survival.

They suffered defeat in their FA Trophy game against Gateshead on Saturday, with strikes from Kamil Conteh, Robbie Tinker and Gregor Olley cancel a Peter Clarke Answer.

Oldham have one of the worst away records in the National League, taking just seven points from a possible 39 away.

Changing that stat will be a priority for Unsworth on Tuesday as he looks to put some distance between his side and the relegation zones.
